guest.site is operated by Chat2 Pty Ltd ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written to align with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
1. Information we collect
- Account information — email, name, hashed password, role and tenant membership.
- Tenant content — listings, categories, images, and operational settings you provide.
- Usage data — page views, device and browser metadata, IP address, and session identifiers, collected via Open Web Analytics (self-hosted) and, only when measurement is allowed on corporate acquisition pages, configured providers such as Meta and OpenAI. Corporate OWA page URLs exclude query strings and the tracker does not capture form or click content.
- Communications — emails and SMS you send via the platform (subject lines, recipient counts, delivery status).
- Signup progress — if you start signing up but don't finish, we keep the business details and email address you entered so you can resume, and send a short, bounded reminder sequence (up to 3 emails, roughly every 2 days, stopping automatically once you finish or unsubscribe). This does not subscribe you to marketing.
2. How we use it
- To deliver the platform, including authentication, content management, and notifications.
- To produce aggregate analytics and reports for tenant operators.
- To send incomplete-signup reminder emails to people who started but did not finish signing up; every such email includes a link to a confirmation page where future reminders can be stopped.
- To investigate abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We disclose it only to: our hosting and infrastructure providers, Cellcast (SMS), our SMTP provider (email), configured advertising measurement providers such as Meta and OpenAI when measurement is allowed, and law enforcement where legally required.
4. Storage and security
Data is stored in Australia or the European Union. We use TLS in transit, bcrypt for password storage, role-based access control, and audit logging.
5. Your rights
Under the APPs you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Email privacy@guest.site.
6. Children
guest.site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
7. Complaints
Contact us first. If unresolved, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
